What are your rates?

Sessions are 50 minutes in length and fees start at $200 depending on requested services.

Our team has made a commitment to make therapy accessible to people of all financial means and has provided limited spaces for a reduced fee for services.

Do you take insurance?
Social Butterfly Counseling is an out of network provider. If you would like to use your health insurance policy, we can certainly provide you with all necessary documentation, commonly referred to as a Super-Bill, that you can submit for reimbursement through your out of network benefits.
Please contact your insurance provider to get specific information about your policy.
A few helpful questions to ask your insurance provider would be:

How do I pay for my sessions?
Payment is received and processed at the time of the appointment.
Cash, check and all major credit cards, including your HSA cards are accepted for payment.
For your convenience, we can securely keep your payment information on file and process payment after each session.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you do not attend your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session.

*Please note that we are all human just like you. We appreciate your attention to this policy and we kindly ask that if you expect a conflict, let us know as far in advance as possible. We take great pride in being able to provide the highest quality of service that we can. With that being said, we do have a waiting list of incredible families just like you that can benefit from scheduling sessions. The more time you give us notice, the more amazing families we can support.
Will what we talk about during our sessions stay private?
All information disclosed within sessions is confidential between client and therapist. Any information revealed within a session may not be further revealed to anyone without your written permission, except where disclosure is required by law.
The circumstances where disclosure is required by law are: where there is a reasonable suspicion of child, dependent, or elder abuse or neglect; or where a client presents a danger to self, to others, or to property. Additionally, if you place your mental status at issue in litigation initiated by you, the defendant may have the right to obtain therapy records and/or testimony by your therapist.
*Please note in the state of NJ, your adolescent child has the right to confidentiality.
